2011 OPERA GALA

On Friday 8th July 2011, start time 7.00pm

At The Old Vicarage, Broomfield

The concert will feature the best music from three well-known operas, performed in costume and with commentary to put them in their context in the story. Most of the tunes will be familiar to many of you, but we feel that this new presentation will make them more enjoyable than ever.

The operas we have chosen are The Marriage Of Figaro (Mozart), La Traviata (Verdi) and Carmen (Bizet), and to perform them, in keeping with Bacchanale’s policy of using, as far as possible, exceptionally talented young singers, Elizabeth Drury, Anna Prowse, Stephen Brown and James Cleverton, with Brendan Ashe and The Bacchanale Strings, all under the dynamic baton of Miranda Lisk.

Picnics can be brought for before the performance and/or at the interval. Further details as regards picnic arrangements, parking etc will be provided in due course.

Tickets costing £20 for Adults and £10 for under 14s can now be obtained via the following:
